The Quantum X has NO traditional, paper, nor HEPA filters in it. The only filter is the water, which means there's no additional maintenance or replacements ever required. Simply pour out the water each time, and you have a fresh and clean filter ready to go. There's very little maintenance the Quantum X requires. Of course, you'll need to pour out the water after each use and clean out the basin.
